Last week the Senate passed HB 2615, the \"Stand your Ground\" legislation, by a vote of 39-5, sending HB 2615 back to the House for concurrence. On May 4, the House concurred by a vote of 83 to 4. This critical legislation, sponsored by Representative Kevin Calvey (R-94), recognizes the citizens of Oklahoma have the right to expect absolute safety in a place they have a right to be.
